Junior Stone Worktop Templator & Installer
We’re looking for a practical, reliable and motivated Junior Stone Worktop Templator & Installer to join our team.
This role would suit someone who already has some experience working with stone worktops and is looking to develop their skills further. You’ll initially work alongside our experienced fitters, helping to install high-quality stone worktops in customers’ homes and on commercial projects.
A key part of the role will also be learning and developing your templating skills. With support and training from our experienced team, the aim is for you to become confident enough to visit customers and complete worktop templates independently. Contact us now for more information.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Installing stone worktops alongside an experienced fitter
-
Working in customers’ homes and on a variety of installation projects

Learning and developing worktop templating skills

Progressing towards completing templates independently
-
Measuring, assessing and visualising worktop layouts accurately
-
Working carefully and methodically to ensure installations meet our standards

Communicating professionally with customers while working in their homes

Working closely with our workshop and installation teams
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re not necessarily looking for someone who already knows everything. We’re looking for someone with the right practical ability and attitude who we can develop within the business.
Ideally, you’ll have:

At least one year’s experience in stone worktop installation

A good practical and logical approach to problem solving

The ability to visualise measurements, layouts and how individual pieces will fit together

Good attention to detail

Confidence dealing directly with customers

Good communication and interpersonal skills
-
A willingness to learn templating and develop your skills

A reliable and professional approach to work
-
A full UK driving licence with six penalty points or fewer
Previous templating experience would be an advantage, but it isn’t essential. Training can be provided for somebody with strong installation skills and the right aptitude.
Experience in joinery, CAD, technical drawing or another practical role involving accurate measurement and visualisation may also be useful.
HOURS
Monday to Friday: 7:30am–4:00pm
The role is based on a 40-hour working week, with overtime available when required to complete installations.
Overtime may occasionally mean finishing later depending on the job, rather than regular weekend working.
HOLIDAYS
You’ll receive 28 days’ holiday, including our planned company shutdown periods.
The business normally closes for approximately two weeks during August and also closes over the Christmas period.
